What to expect
COME AS YOU ARE
Sometimes people feel like they have to “do better” “act better” before they start attending a church. Relax! The focus of the service is on Jesus. And the good news is that He accepts us as we are. You’ll see all different kinds of people with a variety of faith traditions and backgrounds. So come as you are and come expecting to encounter the Lord in a fresh way.
First service begins at 8:30 am and second service starts at 10:30am, so try to arrive about fifteen minutes early. Our parking team will be waiting for your arrival. They’ll welcome you with a BIG smile, help you find a parking spot and then point you in the right direction. Make sure you stop by our Welcome Center. We have a little gift for you!
Nope! All we ask is that you do come clothed! Please wear whatever makes you comfortable. Some love to come casually dressed. Others prefer to dress up. There is no dress code, so come as you are.
If you arrive early, we have some fresh, hot coffee waiting for you in our Welcome Center. And best of all, it’s FREE!
WHAT’S THE MUSIC LIKE?
Our church loves to worship Jesus. Our live band usually consists of guitars, drums and keys. We love to sing contemporary songs but also enjoy drawing from some of the great hymns of old. We place the lyrics on a big screen, so if you don’t know the song, you can quickly follow along. Our worship is designed to celebrate God’s greatness, and we love to do it with great passion! Some people raise their hands; some worship in a more reserved manner. Bottom line – be yourself. Worship the Lord in a manner that works for you.
WHAT ABOUT MY KIDS?
We provide nursery and a dynamic children’s worship service from 6 months to 5th grade during the Sunday morning celebration. We have experienced teachers who teach our children in fun, creative ways that will help them experience Christ in a way they can understand. However, if you would feel more comfortable having your children with you for your first visit, then please feel the freedom to do so.
WILL I BE ASKED TO GIVE MONEY?
If this is your first time with us, we would ask you to please keep your wallet in your pocket. Just come and worship with us. Each week we provide a time in our service to worship the Lord through our giving. This is a time where those who call Living Stones their home have an opportunity to invest in the Lord and His work. So just relax and enjoy your time with us!
WILL I BE EMBARRESSED IN ANY WAY?
Not on your first visit. We always embarrass our new friends on their third visit! Just kidding! We won’t make you stand up, sing your high school fight song or any other fear inducing behavior you might have in mind. In the welcome bag, we give our guests what we call our Connection Card. We will give you the opportunity to complete this information so we can get to know you better and to thank you for your visit. These cards can be placed in the basket during the offering time. Otherwise, we simply want to make your time with us an enjoyable and moving experience!
