What Is Ethnic Embrace?
What Is Ethnic Embrace Chicago?
Go therefore and make disciples of all nations [ethnic groups]..." (Matthew 28:19).
"The stranger who dwells among you shall be to you as one born among you, and you shall love him as yourself..." (Leviticus 19:34). We, who live in the Chicagoland area, are privileged to have living near us, a kaleidoscope of nations and Unreached People Groups (UPG's) from around the world. As Christians, we have a unique opportunity to befriend and get to know these near neighborhoods from approximately 200 distinct countries. You don't need a visa, just a vision to learn, love, and serve! What are some ways we can practically do this?
- Start by taking this unique booklet and daily pray God's blessing on these initial 31 precious peoples!
- Go visit these neighborhoods, do business there, and enjoy some genuine ethnic cuisine. What a great way to meet and make friends!
- Contact us for some practical life-changing opportunities to serve with a heartfelt ethnic embrace!
I want to thank Brad stanley, Direct of Youth With A Mission Chicago; my home church, Living Stones Fellowship for their support and enlarged heart for ethnic peoples; Pastor Derek Kuhn, Grace Covenant Worship Center in Lake Bluff, IL; and especially Rebecca Holwerda, our writer and editor, for making this people publication possible!
With you for ChicaGO!
